Free family planning services available through Family Pact include the following:
Lab Testing:
Clinical lab testing is available at no cost for those enrolled in Family Pact. These services are range from use for STD/STI screenings to pap smears.
Screening for Sexually Transmitted Disease and Infection:
Diseases such as Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, Hepatitis, and HIV may be screened for using a cervix swab, urine or blood samples. Anyone sexually active should have regular STD screenings to ensure their safety as well as their partner’s.
Pap Smears:
Part of a regular gynecological exam, this screening test takes samples of the cells around the cervix. These samples are tested for early signs of cervical cancer and HPV which are otherwise undetectable.
STD treatment:
If a patient is found to test positively for an STD, they may receive treatment from our office at no cost. Medication for STD’s are covered by Family Pact, helping those enrolled to stay healthy while getting affordable health care.
Gynecological Examinations:
Gynecological exams, including pelvic exams are free for those enrolled in Family Pact and should be done annually for those sexually active, especially when at risk for STD’s or hereditary reproductive health risks. Regular exams can help prevent cervical cancer and infertility. Women should schedule regular gynecological exams especially before becoming pregnant to promote a healthy pregnancy and childbirth.
Pregnancy Planning:
Family Pact enrollees are eligible for free pregnancy testing. Those enrolled in Family Pact who plan to become pregnant or those seeking methods for birth control can schedule an appointment to consult Dr. Ayalon at no cost.
Birth Control:
Various birth control methods like condoms or hormonal birth control pills are also available to Family Pact members at no cost. Visit our office to learn more about all available methods and which one best fits you.
Preconception Planning:
Family Pact members are eligible to receive free preconception planning. Those seeking preconception counseling may visit our office for an exam and to begin planning and preparing their body for a healthy pregnancy.
